Summary

I have been a Police officer for over 26 years joining West Midlands Police in July 1999.

I have worked in a variety of roles including CID, Public Protection where i worked with survivors of serious sexual offending in gathering evidence to prosecute those responsible, i worked on this department for 7 years. I have completed interview training courses and i am an accredited PIP 2 Detective.

For the last 8 years i have worked in intelligence/offender Management. I find it rewarding in helping others and i strive to treat all people with respects and dignity to show unconditional positive regard and empathy.

I have embarked on a journey in training part time to be a counsellor, i feel that my experience over the last 26 years could help those in need. I have enjoyed self reflection in my training and feel i have become a better listener, husband and father. My next step is starting my level 4 journey in Counselling at the Maple Leaf Therapeutic Training centre.
