Through my years of experience, I have been able to develop and maintain professional communication skills from dealing with customers, to then dealing with Suspects, Victims and Witnesses of crime. In addition to this, I have been able to demonstrate that I am an active listener and can follow instructions from supervision.
I am currently a Police Officer with West Midlands Police. I have done this role for just over 2 years now. Throughout my time with West Midlands Police, I have been able to respond to calls for service for those that are in need. I am flexible with my working pattern due to my varied shifts as a Police Officer. I am a reliable individual and prepared to conduct and take on new tasks and adapt to new environments. I have been able to demonstrate that I can work well within a team, linking in with colleagues and supporting them along the way. During this time, I have been based at many different stations, completing different roles. I have spent most of my time as a Neighbourhood Officer, solving long-term community issues within the community and providing support to Victims. In addition to this, I have worked in an investigative role whereby I conducted interviews with Suspects, working alongside partners such as solicitors. I work well with partners such as social services and other Emergency Services, following the JESIP (Joint Emergency Service Interoperability Programme) procedure. I am currently a Response Officer, responding to 999 calls and those in urgent need for Police action. I am able to demonstrate resilience, as well as compassion to individuals when responding to incidents. I am able to demonstrate technological skills when using systems, as well as other equipment such as breathalyzers and interviewing systems.
