Working in the foodhall in Asda for Compass group I was front of house and the face of the company, my role was:

  • Ensuring all customers were greeted and seated, All orders were taken by myself and either prepared by me on the bain marie or with the cooks in the kithcen.
  • Followed all methods of portioning and presentation, consistently with Compass standards and meeting customer expectations to ensure all HACCP controls were in place.
  • Addressed customer questions and concerns with knowledge of menu items, ingredients and when unsure found correct information from those prepping the food to relay to the customer.
  • Followed good operating practices, safety standards and equipment maintenance protocols required to cut back on downtime and to keep the kitchen and serving area above the required standard.
  • Implemented hygiene protocols throughout daily duties ensuring safe systems of work were in place which was set out daily by management.
  • Ensuring my float was level balance at the end of my shift.
  • Supporting the other staff members in the maintaining of hygiene standards on clearing the set down area where customers ate.
  • At all times adhering to compass internal standards and maintaining a positive, friendly and customer focus attitude.
