I am currently running my own small garden maintenance business, carrying out regular work for long-term customers. With my degree in Fine Art I have a creative vision which allows me to see opportunities to create scenery and environments that can be pleasing to spend time in and enjoy.
Managed garden maintenance while studying at university, gaining practical experience in horticulture. Once graduated I went full-time managing weekly garden maintenance, lawn mowing, hedge trimming and other garden-related jobs. Ensured high standards and attention to detail, enhancing overall appearance and care of customers' gardens.
While I was at University we did work experience as part of our second year studies. I went back to the art department in Lurgan College where I had studied. Spent every Friday for a few months assisting the Art teacher in organising supplies, guiding students in techniques and offering advice on their work.
While I was a student I was involved with a programme in which we as pupils met with other pupils from local schools with learning difficulties. We would pair up and do art projects together and spend time talking and guiding in the other pupils in how to create fun art projects. This gave me opportunities to work on communicating better with people and engaging with others.
I recieved first place student in GCSE Art and design for Northern Ireland in 2019. With an A* grade of 100%.
