I have worked as a Gardener, Personal Assistant, and as a Barista/Server in a hatch café, focusing on communicating with my bosses and clients and how best to fulfil expectations and create good outcomes. I can follow instructions well, but will also use my initiative when necessary to complete a task to a high degree of satisfaction. I have done very well academically, getting mostly A's and B's from my Nat 5s to Advanced Highers. I hold myself to a high degree of standard and will ask for ways to improve my work so I can perform better.
Throughout school I have been a good mentor and role model for younger students, performing prefect duties, being a senior mentor in the Waid Academy Music department, where I helped peers and younger pupils with issues in composition, practical and theory. I pride myself in helping others, and always aim to volunteer wherever I can. This has led me to join the county wide Concert Band and Youth Orchestra, where I represented my school in public performances. Additionally I joined the National Youth Wind Ensemble with the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow and take part in the Lundin Links Community Choir. I have taken on several leadership roles, for example, I achieved a Black Belt in Karate at 16, not only does this show my dedication to the sport (joining when I was around 6), but also my dedication to my club, helping my Sensei by leading junior classes and assisting peers in their training.
