Louise Greenwell

After completing my Fine Art degree in 2020 I later completed my Initial teacher training with Cornwall SCITT in 2022. My teacher training allowed me to work within a range of year groups and settings, gaining valuable experience of different strategies to use in the classroom. After my training I then became a permanent class teacher. I worked in Year 5 for my first two years and Year 4 for for the following two years.

I always try and incorporate creativity into my teaching and utilise the skills I learnt from my Fine Art Degree as much as I can in to the classroom. It is important to me to create a safe, welcoming environment in the classroom where children feel confident to express themselves, while also helping their academic and personal achievements. I have led both Art and English across a two form entry school, contributing to curriculum development and expanding extra curricular activities within those areas.

I enjoy Art outside of school, developing my own practice in my spare time. I am also enjoying getting back in to running after having my little boy last May and becoming a Mum.
