My career began in retail as an assistant at Boots, where I developed strong customer skills. I later took on a team leader role at the NHS Prescription Pricing Authority, supporting my work colleagues and ensuring accurate data entry. I then went on to work for Wolverhampton Council as a Housing Assistant in the Building Division, inspecting properties and coordinating any work required, ready for re-letting.

IOSH Managing Safely - Feb 2010
With over 37 years work experience from retail to administration to hands on vehicle inspection to running my own business. I've always brought the same focus: a strong work ethic, adaptability and a genuine commitment to people - whether its helping a customer, supporting or managing a team or solving problems. I'm at my best when I'm busy and challenged. Now I'm looking for a fresher direction - a role where i can use my customer service skills, curiosity and hands on approach to make a difference to the job and also to myself!
I love staying active - whether its running, strength training or line dancing. I enjoy cooking for family and planning trips together. I keep livestock - sheep, pigs & chickens and really enjoy caring for them, especially at lambing time. I love a good mooch around a charity shop and can be found doing this most weekends. I do charity work when I have the time as I do enjoy helping others.
