Summary

I am a hard working and dedicated individual who has extensive experience in treating mental health conditions - as a Mentor, Counsellor and Wellbeing Practitioner - and also physical conditions as a registered Oncology/Palliative Care Nurse. I have worked with people of all ages and from a variety of cultures both in the UK and in Malta, where I lived for 8 years. I have excellent communication skills and a warm and approachable personality which helps me to create a strong therapeutic alliance with my patients and clients. I work well in a team but am also capable of working unsupervised, adhering to my own time management boundaries and organising my own client caseload.

I am able to work flexible hours and am local to the area.

Swimming, singing, reading, writing short stories.

I understand how traumatic it can be working in the care and mental health industry. I use a variety of activities which allow me to ground myself and protect my own health. I read and enjoy writing short stories and poetry. I find writing very therapeutic and have always kept a journal which helps me to self reflect. I practice meditation and Qi Gong everyday and at weekends I like to swim and attend yoga classes.
