I am a passionate, hardworking individual, always striving to better myself and take on new challenges. I am highly organised, dedicated and goal orientated, with proven experience in delivering a high level of public welfare. I possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to build rapport with members of the public, in any environment.
I spent 4 years in the RAF Air Cadets, as a Cadet Corporal, whilst studying A Levels at Brookfield Community School. Being part of the RAF Air Cadets gave me the ability to build my confidence, and get used to technology. Part of my duties of being a Corporal were to deliver lessons to the younger cadets. This involved using Word and PowerPoint to create lesson plans, briefs and projects. A lot of my time spent here was also put into filming and photographing the place and people to inspire others to join, and to plan and present open days. The main reason why I loved being a part of cadets, was because of the service and voluntary work we contributed to the public, and the gorgeous town of Chesterfield.
I am very passionate about keeping a clean and tidy appearance, as well as having an in-depth understanding as to why my job is so important to the public. Being a lifeguard enhanced my ability to recognise this, and to make sound judgement, assisting me to arrive at expert and professional decisions and advice.
I have only recently become a receptionist, however I have been working for the council for 4 years, as a lifeguard at Queens Park Sports Centre and the Healthy Living Centre. These two jobs have given me the amazing opportunity to work with the public sector, providing them with a professional positive attitude.
I love building rapport and conversing with everyone, whilst proudly wearing my Chesterfield Borough Council uniform.
Working as a team and individually is a vital aspect of succeeding on reception, which I always do to the best of my ability. I posses strong interpersonal skill, which assists me in managing phone calls and in person conversations on reception, maintaining an effective flow of communication. I will always try my best to deliver enhanced customer satisfaction, and to make sure the publics questions and queries are answered.
Being a lifeguard for Chesterfield Borough Council for 4 years led me to truly see how vital teamwork and possessing the strong ability to work individually really is.
I worked across Queens Park Sports Centre and the Healthy Living Centre, which allowed me to converse and build rapport with all kinds of people, which is what I loved the most about the job.
My duties including enforcing our safety policies, providing first aid and CPR when necessary, and constantly being on high alert. Throughout performing these activities, I wore my Chesterfield Borough Council uniform proudly, with a smile on my face and a clean and tidy appearance.
I would love nothing more than to continue my enrolment with the council, but input my skills elsewhere, and push myself to learn new things, and tackle new challenges.
