I have just qualified as a registered nurse in Children's nursing, graduating with a first class degree.
I am very passionate about providing and delivering high quality patient centred care and I understand that each one of my patients has their own individual needs which I respect whole heartedly. I am able to build strong rapports with colleagues, patients and their parents/carers and remain calm and professional in high pressured situations. I am also a very driven individual, who strives to progress far in my nursing career. I excel in communication and work not only well in a team but also independently. I am also an extremely organised, calm and patient professional with excellent leadership skills and can provide references to support this.

Through both my clinical and educational experience, I have worked in accordance with the standards set by the NMC in order to deliver the most appropriate and best patient care; as well as exercising excellent nursing skills in various settings. By working alongside a variety of health care professionals at all levels, I have established strong bonds, delegation abilities and excellent team working. As a result, I was able to gain clinical experience in areas such as HDU, Theatres, Wards and Outpatients. I have recently completed and acted as a student peer mentor, supporting first year students on their nursing programme, in which I gained confidence in providing guidance and support to fellow students. On placement, i have adhered to the correct procedures and policies, such as referring to safeguarding.

The outstanding and challenging environment of working in an environment such as yours will be a superb opportunity for me to combine my practical abilities whilst continuing to strive for excellent delivery of patient care. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning techniques such as catheterising, naso-suctioning, changing mickey buttons; as well as challenging myself to calculate doses and set up IV's (under close supervision). I endeavour to learn as much as i can as i progress through my nursing career and am very excited to see new opportunities to develop my clinical and professional skills.
