Role Overview:

As a Combat Medical Technician (CMT), I provided frontline emergency medical support to soldiers in both training and operational environments. Trained to deliver life-saving care in austere and high-pressure conditions, I worked closely with medical officers and support units to ensure rapid response to casualties, effective triage, and ongoing patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering immediate trauma care, life support, and casualty stabilisation in the field.
• Conducting patient triage under combat conditions and assisting with medical evacuation (CASEVAC).
• Maintaining and operating a wide range of medical equipment and supplies.
• Supporting battlefield and remote location medical operations, often in extreme or hostile environments.
• Conducting medical checks, basic diagnostic procedures, and routine health assessments.
• Documenting patient information accurately under pressure and in line with strict protocols.
• Training and mentoring junior personnel and non-medical soldiers in first aid and battlefield casualty drills.
• Assisting in setup and running of field medical facilities.
• Providing medical cover for major national events (e.g. state funerals, ceremonial duties).
• Adhering to medical ethics, confidentiality, and military discipline at all times.
