Lewis Edwardson-Pye

During my time at LCM I have gained many new skills that have built my confidence, such as a wide variety of containment e.g ladder, trunking and tray and many other forms. I have also learnt about terminating a wide variety of cables as well as having basic knowledge of testing and inspection on site. Also the work I have endure while being with this company I have completed maintenance and participated in large projects that have been continuous over many months.

I was successful to gain work experience with a local electrician. I have learnt many new skills such as wiring lighting, sockets, running cable and using different types of containment. I’ve also learnt many key terms that are used on site. I demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills when faced with unexpected challenges.

I enhanced productivity by efficiently sorting and arranging items for dispatch ready for orders to be completed to meet the deadline. I also followed safety protocols to minimise workplace accidents. As well as, took part in learning new skills and showed I was able to work well under pressure and in a team environment.

I worked weekends and occasionally after school.

I Maintained high standards of cleanliness by thoroughly washing kitchen utensils. As well as ensured safe working environment by promptly cleaning spills and other hazards.

Improved efficiency in the kitchen by organising washed dishes for easy access. I also Contributed to smooth running of restaurant through timely completion of dishwashing tasks.
