Creation of group work sessions in prisons

Since working at Forward Leeds as a group worker and with my experience within the prisons I saw a gap which is not delivered in prisons that being regular group work on understanding addiction and recovery. This has now grown to 6 prisons and 3 more coming onboard across North, South & West Yorkshire as well as Humber these are delivered every 2 weeks as well as maintaining my own job role. I have to deliver these myself as I am the one with the vetting completed. The attendance at these groups are amazing and the engagement from the prisoners is over whelming. I deliver a 5 session course, the men & women receive a certificate of completion at end the sessions.
