Hi, my name is Layla Whitaker.
I am 16 years old & have just completed my school term at The Farnley Academy in Leeds. I have recently finished my GCSEs . The courses I chose for my exams were physical design technology, health and social, child development and history. I am going on to study further education within childcare at Leeds City College, quarry hill & I will be attending the course - level 2 certificate in supporting, teaching & learning.
For now, as I have left school, my aim is to find work to gain valuable experiences and earn money to have my own independence which I intend to do and run alongside my college period until I complete my college course which would then allow me to chase a career in that sector.
As I have just left school I appreciate I don't have many experiences in work other than been a Saturday girl within a salon, however I would really appreciate the opportunity to add to my CV. I'm extremely keen, I love meeting new people, trying new challenges and I am very excited to start the new chapter of my working life.
I feel I can work well within teams or individually and willing to learn.

- Face to face communication i.e.. welcoming clients as they arrived.
- Handling cash & card payments.
- General 'mucking in' washing hair, remove foils, make drinks etc.
- At the end of the day I would clean the salon and help with locking up.
