Key acheivements

  • Single-handedly trained up a team of 12 print journalists in digital journalism, and transformed the print features wire to work in the digital era. Devised and implemented an entire team’s new workflow, digital strategy and significantly increased output.
  • Since 2023, I have adapted Lifestyle to become more reactive to the news agenda, with the regular publication of health explainers, trend-led content and driving headline-grabbing celebrity interview lines.
  • Adapted the Lifestyle service to react to customer needs, particularly Newsquest, who requested more content aimed at an older audience demographic. I received very positive feedback about the important changes made.
  • Led the launch of the PR branch of the Mediapoint service in 2025, which has helped significantly grow traffic to the website.
  • Shaped the celebrity and chef interview content to better news lines and strong angles.
  • Turned around the Travel section since September 2025, to increase customer usage. Improved press trip management with comprehensive commissions, communication with writers during trips and content tailored to the wider news agenda.
