Junior Sister working in a Major Trauma Centre. This role involves being skilled in all aspects of the department and coordinating different areas of the emergency department including the resuscitation area. Supporting the junior team ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. Whilst working alongside the multi-disciplinary team. This role has allowed me to work competently in all areas and to be able to independently take charge of each area.

A nurse-led service that provides critical care outreach support in a Major Trauma Centre. Working alongside the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Attending all Medical Emergencies & Cardiac Arrest calls within the hospital. Supporting the wards in caring for deteriorating patients. Reviews of patients who have been discharged to the ward following a stay in ICU. Completing a full A-E assessment on these patients ensures appropriate plans are in place.

Working alongside the Medical Emergency Team (MET) to ensure team members are able to effectively communicate patient care concerns to a senior member of the team.
