I have taught across the primary age range, including Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 and my current position of Year 5 Class Teacher. I am also responsible for leading History and Geography which has involved creating a curriculum and working with my colleagues to ensure it's successful implementation. In previous years, I led PE which gave me experience of finance and reporting on the Sports Premium money.

I worked at the Infant School before we amalgamated with the local Junior School. During this time I worked in Years 1 and 2. Throughout the years, I also led History, Geography, RE and PE.

At the start of my career, I found my time doing supply very useful as it gave me the opportunity to work across the primary school age ranges and gain more experience of working with children. While doing supply, you need to be flexible and able to work with a lot of new people.

After my return from travelling around America, I worked at Curry's for a short time before returning to teaching. During this time, I worked on the Customer Services desk which involved communicating with the public and dealing with any issues.

After qualifying as a teacher, I started my career by completing the first year of my NQT Year at Cotsford Infant School while covering a maternity leave. I worked in Year 1/2. After my contract finished, I went travelling around America.
