My 20+ years of NHS experience across various roles and departments have provided me with a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape and a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the organisation. This broad experience has equipped me with a deep-rooted passion for improving patient care and enhancing operational efficiency within the NHS.

Throughout my career, I have always been drawn to opportunities for change, whether through the development of people or systems. My passion for innovation and my belief in the power of technology led me to transition into an IT role over a decade ago.

As an IT professional, I have successfully led and delivered complex projects, driving digital transformation and improving processes across the NHS. My expertise in project management, product ownership, and system development has enabled me to make a significant impact on the organisation.

I am particularly proud of my achievements in:

EPR Product Ownership: Successfully leading the development and implementation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, a critical component of Portsmouth's digital transformation strategy.

Project Management Success: Delivering complex IT projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. My ability to effectively manage project timelines, resources, and risks has consistently resulted in positive outcomes.

Clinician Collaboration: Building strong relationships with clinicians and gaining a deep understanding of their workflows and requirements. This collaboration has been essential in ensuring that the applications we develop and support are user-friendly, efficient, and aligned with clinical needs.

HIOW EPR Programme: I am currently supporting the HIOW EPR Programme as Project Lead for Portsmouth, demonstrating my ability to manage and support high-profile initiatives alongside my ongoing responsibilities as EPR Product Owner. I recognise that this initiative will revolutionise the way we deliver healthcare services across the region through streamlined patient care, bridging the gaps between our clinical pathways. I am committed to supporting the successful implementation of the HIOW EPR Programme and ensuring that our current EPR system is well-positioned to facilitate this transformative change.

Minestrone Awards: Receiving several awards for the development of Minestrone, a critical IT system within Portsmouth. These awards recognize the innovative and impactful nature of the project and my contributions to its success.

Beyond my technical expertise, I am a dedicated team player with a strong ability to build relationships and foster collaboration. I am committed to continuous learning and professional development, and I am always seeking out new opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. I have recently been accepted into a Product Manager apprenticeship program. This opportunity will allow me to advance my already gained skills and bring expertise from outside the NHS into the organisation, further contributing to its digital transformation.

As Age Group Manager for Havant RFC where my son plays, I oversee the day to day operations for the team. This includes organising fixtures, ensuring governance and health and safety standards are met, managing membership, and handling parental communications. 

Coming from a family of avid rugby supporters and players, I enjoy supporting a local club whilst watching the game from the sidelines. It's rewarding to be part of his journey and contribute to the clubs success.
