Compassionate Nurse Specialist delivering exceptional patient care. Expert in managing complex cases and enhancing patient outcomes through innovative solutions. Skilled in collaborative teamwork, leading to improved healthcare delivery and safe patient discharges.
I have experience in primary care having worked in community nursing, and prison nursing as well as secondary care in A&E and also a ward environment. My current role is based in secondary care, and I also outreach into the community to provide care to patients alongside primary care colleagues. I work with patients from a trauma informed care perspective to engage and support patients that have disengaged from accessing healthcare, except for in times of crisis. I also work with local authorities to provide housing on discharge for homeless patients.
During my time as a Nurse Specialist for Street Health I have been nominated for and awarded a Daisy Award and also nominated for a staff excellence award, - community hero, for which I came second out of hundreds of nominations.
During my time as clinical matron for physical health at Lowdham Grange Prison, we were nominated for and awarded the most improved team award at the Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust's Oscars Awards.
