
Experienced veterinary practice professional with nearly 10 years’ experience progressing from Receptionist to Practice Administrator. Skilled in team leadership, practice operations, payroll, and client service, with a proven ability to support efficient and high-quality service delivery. Proven ability to oversee daily practice operations, manage staff, and deliver high standards of client service in a fast-paced environment.
I began my career at Companion Care Vets Portsmouth as a part-time Receptionist. During my time there, I regularly covered additional shifts, developed my knowledge, and progressed to the role of Deputy Reception Manager, where I supported the management of a team of six receptionists.
In 2023, I was offered the position of Reception Manager at Havant Vets for Pets, a sister practice of Companion Care. In this role, I established a permanent reception team, replacing the previous rotational staffing model between branches. I also played a key role in increasing the practice’s presence within the local community and strengthening team cohesion.
I later progressed to the role of Practice Administrator, gaining broader insight into the operational side of the business. My responsibilities included payroll processing, diary management, and overseeing the purchase ledger. I also managed the practice’s social media platforms, improving engagement and producing informative, client-focused content.
While working at Vets for Pets, I achieved a Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Management and Leadership, strengthening my skills in team leadership and practice operations. I am committed to ongoing professional development and am currently looking to progress onto a diploma.
I am eager to take the next step in my career, further developing my leadership and operational skills while making a positive contribution to practice performance and team development.
I have also completed a first aid training course.
