Job overview

  • In this job role I was to wait tables by taking away plates and taking drink orders I also was promoted to a supervisor role which saw me oversee all the activities in the restaurant and I worked as many different positions such as being in the kitchen and being a kitchen porter which has given me a lot of life skills in the process

  • The skills i have gained throughout my life help me in the working world from having a high attention to detail being able to spot small details and being able to act on them accordingly, i've also gained a lot of leadership skills from my previous work as being a supervisor and my journey to becoming a holder of the queens badge, these skills combined with my empathy and diligent attitude make me very hard working and being able to support my co-workers around me.

Interests

I have a few different interests one of them being sports specifically badminton i love the feeling of being challenged by some other players and playing as a team and developing strategies along the way. i also have an interest in video games and a lot of forms of media as i like to be able to conversate with people on topics they are passionate about. my love for video games has greatly improved my problem solving skills and helps me on a daily basis especially during my days at uni doing mathematics. Some achievements i have earned are Queens badge May 2023 This award was achieved through a combination of volunteering, skills, physical activity, and leadership. The overall process is similar to a dofe gold award as it's a similar time frame I did all this through the boys brigade organisation and I had been a member for 12 years and had been in regular attendance to most activities including parades and sporting events. Boys brigade national badminton competition May 2023 This competition spanned over a year of knockout rounds leading up to a final with the best two teams from scotland, england and northern ireland. my competitive nature came out throughout as i'd realized i hadn't lost a match yet so i continued my goal to remain undefeated and so minor setbacks from my racket being snapped by my teammate by accident however this didn't stop me from obtaining my goal.
