

I am an experienced and highly motivated vocational education, training and assessment professional with over 10 years’ experience working within a further education environment and more than thirteen years’ previous experience successfully managing a commercial hair and beauty business. Currently working as Programme Manager at City College Plymouth, operating within a college environment and supporting staff learners to develop their technical, commercial and employability skills.
I have extensive experience working within a structured and regulated education and training environment, with a strong understanding of the importance of compliance, assessment requirements, quality standards and accurate record keeping.
I have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and am confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including learners, employers, colleagues, apprentices, clients and industry professionals. I am able to gather information, establish requirements, interpret individual learning and training needs and communicate these effectively to relevant stakeholders.
I have developed strong IT skills through my work in further education, including the use of Google applications and Word. I am organised, reliable and flexible, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
I hold a level 5 in Training and Education, Level 4 in Quality Assurance an Assessors Award and an AET (Award in Education and Training). I am particularly motivated by opportunities to support the development of vocational skills and to contribute to high-quality training, assessment and professional standards.
The main role of the EPA is to assess whether the apprentice is competent to carry out their apprenticeship.
