I have previously ran a successful business for 9 years but feel now is the right time for a change in career I have previously worked within different jobs in my working career and gained a multi level of different skills and knowledge. Being a gentleman’s barber and business owner has given me a lot of life experience with my clientele being such a diverse group from young children to elderly, people with disabilities and also people with alcohol and drug addictions this has made me very non judgemental and I thoroughly enjoyed working with each and everyone. Having being my own boss it has made me very punctual and reliable and very sensible with finances. I have both experience of working on my own and also as part of a team. In all of the job roles I have fulfilled client confidentiality and made sure it has always been a main priority for myself as well as making sure I have a full understanding of GDPR.
This job entails me keeping records of finances. Writing detailed quotes and invoices. Ensuring all information provided is kept in an organised manner. Keeping all paperwork up to date.
Running my own business came with a lot of responsibilities such as running to schedules managing appointments, handling money and dealing with a wide range of public. I kept all of my bookwork and made sure all my paperwork was up to date. Being punctual was very important also keeping my work environment and tools clean and sterile. I always provided excellent customer service ensuring each client was treated as an individual.
During my time working with The Richmond Fellowship Scotland my work experience included delivering a high standard of care to adults with both physical and mental health disorders within their own homes. My daily tasks would include carrying out personal care, assisting with day to day tasks such as cleaning, cooking, shopping and promoting independence whilst following person centred planning. I also worked with medication following MAR charts dealt with their finances and followed each persons individual support plans to ensure their care was given to the best of my ability.
In this job role again I was a gentleman’s barber but I worked alongside another employee I was held responsible to open and close the shop take all payments and cash up In the evening.
During my working career I have gained a wide range of skills and look forward to continuing to gain more
