Summary

My aim in life is to have a successful career in the catering sector. I am a hardworking person who always works with a smile on my face. I work great in a team and my communication and listening skills are always at high expectations when working as part of a team. Work experience

Mental Health Kitchen, Volunteer, 2024-03, During March 2024, I volunteered at a mental health kitchen. Working in a mental health kitchen has equipped me with a unique set of skills applicable to various culinary environments. Beyond basic food preparation and hygiene, I've developed heightened communication and interpersonal abilities, essential for teamwork and understanding diverse needs. Patience and adaptability, honed through accommodating specific dietary requirements and managing sensitive situations, have enhanced my problem-solving skills. These experiences have instilled a strong sense of empathy and responsibility, making me a well-rounded and considerate team member ready to contribute positively to any kitchen setting. Whilst working in this setting I was able to learn a range of different dishes, further helping my understanding of different allergies and dietary requirements as the regulars at the kitchen would ask for certain meals.

Personal statement

My professional aspirations are to be a personal chef for the less abled, in which I am very enthusiastic about making tasty and nutritious meals for those who physically cannot. Since June 2023, I have been making healthy meals seven times a day in order to help my mum, who suffers with sciatica. My customer service skills have been refined through numerous interactions with diverse customers, resolving inquiries and ensuring a positive experience. Moreover, my communication skills allow me to convey information clearly and assist team members and customers alike. I am a passionate and skilled culinary professional with a strong commitment to creating delicious and nutritious meals tailored to individual tastes and dietary needs. I have honed my skills in meal planning, food preparation, and presentation. I thrive on the challenge of crafting personalized menus that delight clients and exceed their expectations. My goal is to bring my culinary expertise and creativity to a personal chef role, where I can build lasting relationships with clients while sharing my love for food.
