This job role involves working in a small team of colleagues to deliver excellent service and products from paint and tiles and bathrooms. This includes:

• Improving customer service by efficiently handling queries and complaints before and after the purchase.
• Ensuring stock is replenished in a timely manner to maintain product availability for customers.
• Addressed customer needs promptly, resulting in positive feedback and returning customers.

This job role helped me develop my communication skills as effective communication is essential between not only colleagues, but also customers and suppliers.

During my time working in retail I have developed a love for customer and people facing roles and I would like to continue working in roles like these.

This role included:

• Managing till operations smoothly, reducing waiting time for customers.
• Fostering a welcoming store environment by maintaining clean and well-organised displays.
• Handled high-pressure situations calmly, keeping store operation seamless during peak hours.
• Learnt about new products quickly, providing comprehensive guidance to customers.

This role taught me to stay calm during very busy peak times, while still providing customers with the guidance and assistance that they required.

As a result of looking after the animals in store, I developed a very strong attention to detail, as high standards needed to be maintained.

During this role I:

• Offered personalised shopping advice to enhance customer experiences.
• Utilised excellent communication skills to provide detailed product information.
• Balanced multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining high-quality customer care.
• Took interest in customers' needs and concerns to provide thoughtful advice and product recommendations.
