To act as an informed resource in resuscitation issues for all Trust staff.
To be responsible for the planning, organisation and implementation of teaching of resuscitation procedures to appropriate groups of staff including nursing, medical and paramedical staff.
To teach resuscitation skills in line with trust protocols and Resuscitation (UK) guidelines
To attend calls to the cardiac arrest team (adult and paediatric) and lead the team if required
Take part in clinical research and audit
Ensure a standardised approach to resuscitation throughout the trust
To act as an informed resource in resuscitation issues for all staff within the Trust

To examine and diagnose minor injuries using appropriate tools and imaging modalities.
To prescribe and carry out correct treatments for minor injuries in accordance with current research
Discharge patients to appropriate follow up service
Act as an autonomous practitioner
Develop and deliver packages of training for all grades of Emergency Medicine nursing staff.
Completion of core and specialist competencies with staff
Supporting of new or struggling staff in any area of Emergency Medicine
Organise and run Emergency Medicine Team Days
Monitor and resolve issues with mandatory training compliance and completion.
