I started my journey at Jellytots Nursery in July 2014 as a work experience junior. I was then offered a full time position after completing my apprenticeship in 2020. I have worked in all areas of the Nursery, I started as a Nursery Nurse Practitioner and am currently Deputy Room Leader.
My day to day responsibilities are;
- Developed trusting relationships with children, parents and staff.
- Maintained clean, safe play environments, disinfecting toys and surfaces regularly.
- Safeguarded children appropriately to meet legal requirements.
- Plan creative activities to motivate and inspire children for ages 3months - 5 years, based on their individual personal needs and interests.
- Attended regular training opportunities and online courses to expand professional knowledge.
- Encouraging learning through play and sensory activities to support all areas of development
- Give regular updates of observations and daily snapshots.
- Handled nappy changes and baby feeding while keeping records on our FAMLY app along with sleep charts.
