Affiliations

I enjoy volunteering and have a long history of supporting charities, to include giving time to disability charities and homelessness charities. My roles include and have included supporting visually impaired people to access and partake in activities such as outings and activities such as coffee mornings, arts and crafts etc.

I have trained in sighted guiding to facilitate outings to places of interest and also centre based to include support during classes.

More recently, I have supported homeless people within a local organisation where I have distributed food and clothing in our city centre and attempted to attend to needs where possible.

I have retail experience; helpline reception as well as support to access community events, as a means of promoting inclusion.

I also support my local chapel where I am a committed member , to effect the running of activities.
