Summary
Training in the Metropolitan police service has taught me many things from dealing with vulnerable people to apprehending criminals who wish others harm. With experience in teamwork, community engagement and professionalism the key thing I took away from all these years of training is how to communicate with people.
Communication is key and after being exposed to many different scenarios requiring various ways to talk to people and build report I believe I am able to implement this in a English teaching career abroad.
Throughout my work history I have engaged with people and I have found my passion which is to assist people in anyway I can. I have experience in high stress scenarios and how to complete my tasks in a calm and collective way ensuring deadlines are met at the highest level of quality.

About myself
I am a dual South African and British citizen, born and raised in South Africa. I moved to the UK in 2019 to pursue a career in policing. I have then met my partner who is Japanese and after visiting her home in Kobe a couple of times we have both decided we want to build our life together in Japan. I have given thought to what career I want to pursue in this next chapter of our lives and I believe that becoming an English teacher perfectly aligns with my passion for helping others with my communication skills.
