Summary
I Have worked in the Motor Trade since 1991 where i started as a Motor Mechanic, i left due to the Garage closing and started working at Perrys in Huddersfield for Rover main agents, I worked on the retail counter and phones, then moved across to run the workshop counter, I also covered for the sister sites which were Jaguar and Fiat.
I later moved to Rocar Moores Land Rover, where i also covered the retail counter phones and ran the Workshop counter.
After having my Son i retrained in Childcare and worked there from 2001-2005 until my Son started school, I then returned back to the Motor Trade to Simmonites Land Rover in 2005 to the present day.

- Work alongside Managing director on day to day running of the Company, and taking lead while he is away from the business.
- Dealing on a daily basis with retail customers face to face and over then phone, with the use of Electronic parts catalogue searching for parts required to chassis numbers, reg number or by experience of parts.
- In charge of day to day running of the Parts department, which includes ordering in of special order parts required, keeping stock levels to meet customer requirements, dealing with returns to suppliers.
- Sourcing new suppliers of parts for one off projects, and ensuring we always have the best deals from suppliers on pricing.
- Suggesting alternative parts to customers when required items were out of stock, and also advising of any additional parts that may be required.
- In charge of booking customers in the workshop, ensuring time management for each individual jobs against current work booked in. Involved in sourcing all parts for ground up rebuilds on Land Rovers and chassis refurb jobs, which involves searching for all parts required down to the last nut and bolt.
- Keeping customers up to date on progress of works being carried out on their vehicles, and discussing any additional work that may be required and need customer authorisation before commencing work.
