Diligent nursing professional (NMC Registered) with demonstrated success in emergency and trauma patient care. 24 years experience. I am passionate nursing sister, nurse educator and research nurse within an Emergency Department setting. I also have quality experience in a variety of other departments, balanced across front line patient care, research, clinical education and latterly in a trauma co-ordination post. I pride myself in delivering high quality patient satisfaction. Agile and responsive to dynamic patient needs and environmental conditions. I am safe, thorough and enjoy providing the highest standards of nursing. Out with the patients, I put the teams’ wellbeing and daily success high on my priority list as well. I strive to be a well rounded role model for the junior members of the unit. Team-oriented and reliable with expert healthcare knowledge, clear verbal and written communication skills and sound clinical judgment.
15 years within the A & E department have made up the majority of my experience. It has proved a setting that I have thoroughly enjoyed and felt very confident in. I cope well in the high intensity environment that is A & E and thrive on the dynamic nature of the day. I was selected for the Clinical Educator post and I thrived in this education habitat for 4 years. The timing of my transition felt appropriate. I was ready to use my experience in an education setting and have developed a fondness for nurturing the future nursing force. My most recent post was combining all these elements into a Band 7, Trauma co-ordinator role.
