Served as a Polish translator and ambassador for Dollar Academy at a boarding school expo in Warsaw, Poland. I promoted the school curriculum, facilities and values to an international audience in both English and Polish. Developed my communication skills through bilingual dialogue with potential business clients and parents of potential future boarders at Dollar. Swiftly adapted into a new team of colleagues in order to together give the best account of the institution being represented at the event. The experience provided me a platform for personal networking, getting to know many people working in international corporations and education. Allowed me to showcase my dialogue skills while helping parents find the perfect future place for their children and help the academy gain new, talented students.
Jantar is a Poland-based producer of mineral water and health supplements. With Jantar I got to travel to several health food expos around the world, promoting the company's products to international importers. I was able to experience first-hand, and be involved in trade talks and negotiations, which helped me understand how business between international firms is conducted. Working as translator allowed me to improve on my professional conduct in business meetings at a young age. It also pushed me to polish my English-speaking abilities, becoming completely fluent in the second language. I was also lucky to work as part of a small and concentrated teams of around 3-4 on several on my trips abroad. Teamwork and collaboration are therefore some of the proudest abilities I acquired during my time with Jantar.
