  • From attending a sentencing hearing, I was able to identify which relevant laws and factors judges apply or consider during criminal procedures i.e sentencing guidelines.
  • Being attentive and having a good recollection of events was useful when I was tasked to attend client meetings and take key notes.
  • Critical analysis was a skill I developed when I had to actively refer to an evidence bundle during a wrongful termination employment case.
  • Gained good communication skills, and ability to draft documents, and apply relevant laws to different situations.
  • Completing this internship gave me a vital insight into the life of a qualified barrister and a feel for the work ethic, culture, and ethos of the particular chamber.
