Work History
Clinical Research Nurse - Band 7
North West London Trust
London
01.2022 - 09.2022
Developed research and implemented an NHS service improvement for early detection of primary liver cancer (HCC- hepatocellular carcinoma).
Collaborated with Royal Marsden Partners, as well as, focus group professionals. Our aim was to develop research, gain deeper understanding of patients with advanced liver disease and their compliancy to ongoing investigations (6 monthly ultrasound and blood tests).
Conducted statistical analyses of patients with advanced liver disease to identify patterns of those who were non compliant with their investigations.
Coded data following specified research protocol and entered data into REDCap database for subsequent analysis. This database was accessible to all consultants involved in the project, which helped alert which patients were in need of their 6 monthly investigations.
Worked within a Multidisciplinary Team of consultants, professors, fellows and medical research associates to improve a collective knowledge in the early detection of HCC.
Wrote the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the service improvement. This project has now been acknowledged by NHS UK as a viable service improvement and is being implemented throughout the UK and Northern Ireland.
