Worked alongside a gas engineer to complete my gas portfolio.

As this position was in a rural area that predominantly used LPG it became apparent that I would not be able to complete the portfolio with enough natural gas jobs.

• Delivered excellent customer service during call-outs and new product consultations.
• Read drawings to understand or plan layout of gas installations plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems.
• Advised customers with boiler breakdowns on repair and replacement options.
• Met health and safety policies for compliant engineering support.
• Cut, assembled and installed pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure.
• Completed gas safety paperwork in line with Gas Safe and company procedures.
• Identified defective parts and sourced replacements using exceptional troubleshooting abilities.
• Attended out-of-hours calls promptly to maintain excellent service provisions.
• Achieved excellent customer satisfaction ratings for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Followed details on work orders to complete jobs to specified standards and within specified timescales.
• Worked with minimum disruption to service users, cleaning and tidying up premises after work.

• Cleared grounds of limbs, snow and trash.
• Identified and tended to tree diseases.
• Loaded and unloaded trucks and trailers.
• Maintained work vehicles and equipment.
• Performed basic tree care, including pruning, watering and fertilizing.

Having worked on my own for a few years offering gardening and tree work I found that I felt too isolated and need to be working in a team with others.

Working for my father I achieved many basic qualifications and carried out a huge variety of work ranging from;

Taking thickness readings on commercials vessels and piers.

Concrete work on piers

Fabrication work on piers and vessels

General maintenance of both.

Whilst I did enjoy this work my father and I had a very difficult work relationship and to protect the familial relationship we decided I would be better going my own way.
