D of E

I have attended all levels of scouting from beavers to explorers as of the last couples years. As part of Explorers, I started ,y bronze D of E and have completed all elements to obtain this, this includes physical skills for this section I decided to partake in martial arts this was something that I had been doing for previous number of years to the D of E it meant that I would be able to grade through the different belts faster as I had to spent at least 10 hours a week doing my physical skill which I believe made me a more confident person

Music

I have also have learnt the bass. I started playing the bass when I started my time at high Storrs as the music department there allowed my to play music when I wanted. this eventually turned into a hobby and I soon started a band with some of my class mates, we still play together and have our eyes set on gigging in the near future. not only did I gain a passion for playing music but also listening to it. I started to collection vinyl and also took my dads old record player ever since I haven't stop exploring different types of music across the world. For example I recently discovered Ethiopian jazz which I highly recommend in summary I believe this passions has made me a more cultural competent person.
