• I currently work as a kitchen porter in a live-in position in the Highlands in Scotland. I work as part of a team of kitchen porters, following cleaning rotas and putting deliveries away for each department. I set up and close my station, sort laundry, wash and dry up, and put items away. I mop floors and deep clean different sections of the kitchen. I also work in front of the house, delivering tea and coffee to guests, and helping with service as required.

• I was asked to return to Herm Island for a four-month seasonal live-in contract, working as a kitchen porter. My responsibilities included washing up, following cleaning schedules, opening my section, cleaning the kitchen, and helping to put deliveries away.

• I worked as a cleaner as part of the housekeeping team for a large shopping Centre. This involved cleaning communal areas and following a daily cleaning rota. I also ensured that the center was clean and tidy, carrying out inspections and creating new cleaning rotas. I also helped members of the public with enquiries as it was a very public-facing role.

• I worked as a kitchen porter at the Mermaid Inn on Herm Island on a six-month fixed term contract, a live-in position. My responsibilities included washing up, following cleaning schedules, opening my section, cleaning the kitchen, and helping to put deliveries away. I supervised other kitchen porters, making sure that cleaning was completed to high standards.

• While in between roles, and to keep busy, I worked at The Highworth Hotel on an agreed three-week contract while the venue was short-staffed.

• I worked for Lochs and Glens Hotels in Scotland in a live-in position on a short-term contract before the hotel closed for the winter period. My role involved following strict cleaning rotes daily and included washing and cleaning kitchen equipment and deep cleaning sections of the kitchen. I also helped with vegetable preparation and plating during the evening service and preparing desserts to a high standard.

• My role involved working across two private care homes in Swindon, familiarizing myself with care plans and assisting adults with a range of learning disabilities. I was responsible for keeping up-to-date records on patients, including daily observations about activities and medication administered.
• I worked with patients on health and personal hygiene and diet. I also helped to organize and support recreational activities for patients. Other duties included completing monthly and making sure records were up-to date. I also worked on Covid 19 wards and hospitals when care home patients were admitted. Other duties involved washing, cleaning and cooking, and keeping colleagues, health professionals, and relatives updated to ensure good communication. I also ensured that all health and safety requirements such as fire and cleaning reports were completed and up to date.

• My role included preparation of food for service, washing up to a high standard, and cleaning the kitchen following relevant regulations and health and safety procedures.

• I held two jobs during this period, working in kitchens in establishments within Swindon. My role included washing-up, emptying bins, cleaning the fridges to a high standard, and helping with any other duties as required.

• My role was working in the kitchen and included washing-up, peeling and chopping vegetables, emptying bins, washing floors, sorting out and putting away deliveries, sweeping and tidying the garden ready for customers.
