Joanne Higgins

Currently working as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner with a strong background in primary care, managing both minor and complex health conditions for patients of all ages. Over the past two years, while completing my MSc, I have been supported by senior clinicians, enabling me to become an autonomous clinician and a non-medical prescriber, working within my competencies and guidelines.

Effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, offering leadership and mentorship to junior staff while driving quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. My strong interpersonal and communication skills allow me to build trusting relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring a compassionate, holistic approach to care. Passionate about patient-centred care and Continuous Professional Development (CPD), I focus on enhancing my clinical expertise, particularly in primary care, to continue evolving as a practitioner.
