- I spent 14 months working in the reception class in a primary school located in stone. During this time, I worked with typical and A-typical children, as well as children with additional needs. I aided the class teacher with interventions, worked with groups of children to learn to read and write as well as helping during class lessons. Some of the children I worked with had varied additional needs ranging from speech and language difficulties to autism. This has helped me to learn how different children understand different things with the abilities that they have.

Milestone Academy

- I spent a week at milestone academy in Sevenoaks; this is a school that teaches and supports children from minor to severe special needs and disabilities. I helped by doing one-to-one sessions with some of the children to develop their understanding of matching and numbers and reading. I was in a class of non-verbal and partially verbal children so I learnt how to understand their way of communicating.
