
As a switchboard operator, I spoke to many people on the phone and in-person listening to their queries and helping them find the answers. My role also included working in a team to deal with fire alarm and other security measures, and keep the confidentiality of queries that were given to us. Furthermore, working as part of a team meant talking to colleagues and supervisors to figure out answers to queries we had to deal with.
While I was working in this establishment I had to help customers by answering their queries about the product and quality of service and provide valuable recommendations both in the store and over the phone. My other responsibilities included maintaining a safe and clean working environment by preventing hazards and safely storing food in packages. The job required me to maintain professionalism when dealing with confidential information that the customers provided. Also as a CSR, I had to responsibly store money in the counter and safes. Another role I played was to maintain the efficiency of the team by correctly labelling food orders.
