Recruited initially as an Investigations Executive, investigating complaints from the public and industry about misleading and harmful advertising. Promoted to Investigations Manager and then Head of Casework. I continued this role part-time while building my private practice until my resignation in November 2022.
Voluntary placement as a senior trainee in a low-cost counselling service, providing open-ended counselling to clients presenting with issues including trauma, bereavement, family and relationship difficulties, anxiety and depression.
Seconded to Ofcom to work on Access Services - supporting research on signing and subtitling provision to improve access to television services for viewers with visual and auditory impairments.
Responsible for the day-to-day running of qualitative research projects, including conducting interviews with young women in care and custody to map areas of particular vulnerability with a view to helping create resources to increase social and emotional resilience
Various part-time teaching and research roles within the university to support my PhD study. I taught Psychology of Communications to undergraduate students, and supported senior researchers on a number of projects in the Education and Communications departments.
