Driver, I enjoyed the job as a driver, it was meeting the public, very social job, working days were very rewarding helping people (wheelchairs, walkers, and shopping).

Many would not be able to get about without TAXIS.

As well, as being a self employed taxi driver (mainly at TOWER CABS), I also took up employment with Tower Cabs on and off since 2009.

1, as a telephone operator, receiving calls and making bookings.

2, as a controller, dispatching work to the drivers, also overall control of the office.

Hilliers were a pie making factory in Plympton, Hilliers was my 1st job in civilian life (15 years Army).

I first took a job in pie make, working on 1 of the production machines, after a short while, I changed to the cleaning of pie make. A job I enjoyed doing, and had many good reports along the way.

I actually got them to change the people worked from changing from one product to the next, with me actually changing the machine over, on my own whilst the team were at break (LESS DOWN TIME).

Using a hole host of chemicals and different cleaning machines.

most of the time I was working on my own, within a routine I had developed, which was adopted by the other shift manager.

British Army

Government

I joined the army as a young 16 year old, never did I think I would stay so long (15 years).

I saw service in Germany, Oman, Kenya, Denmark, Canada, UK, and Northern Ireland.

I joined the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment, Which I am very proud of.

I spent 7 years as a private soldier, which I enjoyed, I finally got promotion to lance corporal in 1987, by 1990 I was promoted to corporal, which I remained until my release in October 1993. (redundancy)

During my last 3 years I was a section commander of a mortar line (12 men) Training and the everyday life was carried out under my control.
