UTP Group had been approached by an acquirer, called myPOS. They purchased UTP Group, with majority of current staff at UTP Group, migrating over.

This position is divided into two separate sectors:

Internal recruitment

  • Initial screening of CV's assessing relevant experience for each required role.
  • Conducting initial telephone interview, determining whether candidates should be booked in for a second stage interview.
  • Collaborating with the sales director.
  • Explaining processes for new, successful candidates, including start date, salary etc.
  • Following up with unsuccessful candidates.

Field Sales Recruitment

  • Sourcing candidates, through different channels such as Indeed, and LinkedIn.
  • Explaining benefits of myPOS, and why experienced sales agents should join the company.
  • Requesting ID documents, and handling the onboarding process of these sales agents.
  • Arranging training sessions, collaborating with the training team.
  • This specific sales role in which we were recruiting for, was on a self employed basis. Recruitment for this process, aligned quite closely with a sales role itself, as we had to justify why an experienced sales agent, should join myPOS, as apposed to another company within a similar sector. Overcoming objections etc.
  • Target driven, requiring 5 - 6 offers being sent out on a daily basis.
  • Consistently been the top performer, exceeding targets, and maximizing commission.

Telesales executive

UTP Group, were a merchant services, offering card terminals to small and medium businesses, including cash advances etc. UTP Group were an ISO, in partnership with Barclaycard.

  • Conducted 180+ outbound cold calls daily, to book appointments (warm leads) for our field sales representatives, in order to sell merchant services.
  • Ensured diary management at all times.
  • Overcome objections whilst gathering relevant information, required for an appointment.
  • Driven by sales targets, resulting from the appointments booked, being converted into sales for the company.

After 6 months, UTP Group expanded their recruitment and talent acquisition department to support company growth. I transitioned into the team.
