Band 6 (Deputy Sister):

• Attending multidisciplinary and safeguarding team meetings with the aim of completing complex discharges, escalating concerns and tailoring patient and family-centered care
• Management and holding of the Level pager including attending crash calls, moving staff to other areas of the hospital that require aid, creating and escalating shifts to agency
• Writing, rostering and allocating staff shifts considering skill set, coordinating abilities and availability
• Completing appraisals, sickness/ return to work interviews Reading, completing and allocating incidence reports on the ward and delegating to the appropriate area for investigation Budgeting of ward supplies, equipment, staffing and agency staff

Band 5 (Staff Nurse):

• Managing medication and devices such as External Ventricular Drains, Nurse/ Patient Controlled Analgesia and AIRVO Preparing and administering medication including oral, intraventricular, intramuscular, subcutaneous and controlled medications
• Managing, coordination of the ward, and delegating patient loads according to skill set and role description
• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of ward and bed spaces

In addition I have experience on the adolescent ward, Melanies, where I cared for mental health needs, complex pain, trauma, spinal surgery and muscle flaps.
