I started here as a saturday girl during my GCSE's and then since november 2024 i have been working full time, until recently when i moved to part time, due to commitments. Working here has been a vital part of my life, it has brought me out of my comfort zone on numerous occasions and has improved my social skills and confidence tremendously. Here is some examples of what i do:

• Handled cash transactions, ensuring accurate financial records were kept.
• Maintained a clean and inviting store environment to attract customers.
• Prepared bespoke bouquets for special occasions to meet client needs.
• Coordinated with team members to deliver high-quality service under peak times.
• Enhanced customer satisfaction by providing personalised floral arrangements.
• Designed and assembled floral displays using various construction techniques.
• Cleaned vases and swept shop floors to maintain tidy appearance.
• Received orders in person, by phone and online, processing within allocated timeframes.
• Checked and monitored quality of incoming cut materials.

I have an extraordinary passion for horses. From the age of 10 i started doing stable management in which i would care for the horses every weekend, grooming, feeding, mucking out and riding. When i was about 15 i stopped due to needing to focus on my school exams. However from November 2024-Jan2025 i went back for paid work as i had left college and needed work. Some examples of tasks that i did:

• Managed waste disposal efficiently, maintaining a clean living space for horses.
• Engaged in continuous learning about equine care practices for increased proficiency.
• Provided comfort to nervous animals with gentle handling techniques.
• Groomed and bathed horses to maintain good hygiene levels.
• Built strong working relationships with fellow stable hands and riders for team collaboration.
• Prepped horses, trailers and equipment for travel.
• Maintained cleanliness of stables, contributing to a healthy environment.
• Fed and watered horses to keep them nourished and hydrated.

Every Thursday and Friday i would do work experience here. I worked on MSK and a general adult ward. As i was just college work experience i shadowed most of the time, but also supported patients and families around me, Some tasks were done under supervision but most of the time i was shadowing and learning. Here is what i did:

• Demonstrated respect, friendliness and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Consistently arrived at work on time and ready to start immediately.
• Cleaned work areas and equipment to maintain faultless hygiene standards.
• Shadowed alongside senior staff for a vital learning experience.

During my time here, i worked on the maternity ward, post-partum. I worked alongside many different specialists, including midwives, nurses and healthcare support workers. I shadowed the team in looking after mothers, babies and their families.

• Advocated for patients' rights within the healthcare setting, promoting a culture of respect and dignity.
• Supported breastfeeding initiatives by educating new mothers on techniques and benefits.
• Adhered to hospital health and safety and patient confidentiality policies and procedures.
• Worked well in patient-focused, multidisciplinary team.

During my week here, i assisted with playing with the children, helping them read, snack times and taking them outside for play time, all done under supervision.

• Ensured safe environment for children with vigilant supervision.
• Enhanced children's cognitive skills by assisting with educational activities.
• Observed child behaviours and reported any concerns to senior staff promptly.
• Engaged with children during story time sessions, promoting literacy at an early age.

During my couple weeks of placement here, i supported the service users by helping them with day to day tasks such as washing, cleaning, eating and playing activities. Although this was rather challenging, it was very rewarding. I would also assist in filling out their daily charts to ensure everything is written down.

• Encouraged independence amongst residents through supportive guidance.
• Helped residents with mobility issues around the home thereby assuring their comfort.
• Assisted with personal care tasks, ensuring dignity and respect.
• Demonstrated empathy towards residents' feelings and concerns, fostering trust relationships.
