I worked as a full time apprentice at active play what meant working 45 hours a week. During my time their I worked in all 4 of the different age rooms including,baby’s, toddlers,2-3 years and pre school. I also got to experience working with children with special needs such as autism which I enjoyed immensely as that is something I want to eventually go into and do numerous courses to be able to help my understanding in. I also was able to get my certificates in;

Whilst working at active play I set up numerous activity’s, worked with our online system to send daily updates to parents, helped potty train and help pre pare snack, tea and lunch.

• I was employed at Yankee Doodle candy which sold American candy on whitstable sea front, here I learnt many good communication skills and how to deal with customers.

• Working at howletts I dealt with a lot of regular people as we have the option of yearly passes, the majority of people coming in were children so a lot of the time ide spend my day speaking to them about the animals in the zoo and the parts they enjoyed the most as I arrived to make there days as great as possible
• As well as this when there with things such as the grotto for Christmas I would always be the first to volunteer, for example I was an elf in the grotto helping Santa so ide spend my day entertaining the kids that would come for a present and speak to the parents outside.
