Within Sweaty Betty I have multiple duties and responsibilities. I am the shops Supervisor, meaning I work closely with my manager above me and my team below me. As a supervisor I am responsible for the day-to-day running of the shop while meeting the company's aims and targets regarding sales while providing a high quality standard of customer service. My duties include;

  • Assisting the manager with administrating tasks such as stock control, pay roll, setting out and monitoring the stores targets and organising and deliver training to staff members.
  • Another key role is also creating relationships. This can include with our internal team such as the warehouse, our retail operations, customer services and our area manager. and external links such as Victoria Square shopping centre and local fitness studios. Within Sweaty Betty I have created links with local fitness studios i.e. local gyms, Pilate studios and working on building links with local charities in order to create partnerships while promoting the brand and associating with the companies core values and believes.
  • I am also responsible for managing the stock take of the store as in when requested. I am also part of Sweaty Betty's nation wide Diversity, Inclusion and Equality committee (DIE) linking in with the Sweaty Betty Foundation. The Sweaty Betty Foundation’s mission is to empower women and girls from every background to get active, and stay active, for life. With the focus of supporting girls at school, online and in their communities to discover the ways they love to get active. My role is to help contribute towards piecing together actions plans to deliver these programmes and to look at different target groups and see what other avenues Sweaty Betty can explore to meet the missions aims.
  • Observed customer buying trends to maximise future revenue opportunities.

Within my Deputy Manager role at Escapade HQ (01/10/2018 - 09/10/22) working in the leisure and recreation industry I have gained multiple skills and experience by completing admin roles such as;

  • I was responsible for the safe operations of equipment, resources, and safeguarding business assets, including financial procedures, record keeping, and inventory lists. This was all monitored and recorded through spreadsheets and completed to the correct time scale required.
  • I would of dealt with bookings that came in via phone, email and our website. This included me answering the emails, recording the booking information through the correct systems i.e. booking the correct venue, date and time to meet the needs of the customer, recording their data in the correct GDPR manor and sending out booking confirmation to the customers.
  • I was responsible for developing business opportunities, marketing and promotions. I have created and coordinated social media post, competitions and local radio adverts such as Cool FM and Q-Radio. This included using resources such as Mail Chimp to send out mass and personalised emails to all of our customers to give them information on upcoming offers, deals and specials but also personalised to the users needs and preferences.
  • I was also responsible for answering the day to day queries from customers via phone, email and in person to relay the correct information and provide a warm and welcoming response as I was representing the company.
  • I was responsible for H&S compliance with staff, visitor's, public members and contractors ensuring all safe systems of work, risk assessments and procedures have been implemented. - I was responsible for doing the companies process purchase orders, invoices and expenses on both claiming them and logging the businesses purchases and creating invoices for customers and assisting with any queries.
  • I assisted in the monitoring of relevant budgets throughout the year to ensure weekly, quarterly and annual targets where met to help with the companies rapid growth in a sustainable matter.
