I remember the day, over 35 years ago, I spent with a lady living with dementia who inspired me to become a nurse, her memory remains in my heart every day. I have been Chair of SNEE Social Care Nursing Advisory Council, focusing on securing a better voice for social care nurses.

I was the nursing home lead in a 3 year university medicines research looking at pharmacy led prescribing.( CHIPPS The care homes independent pharmacist prescribing study) I am part of the joint investigation team who recently published care home project looking at decaffeination and falls reduction ( improving health outcomes for care home residents. Decaffeination and falls prevention) I am currently working in partnership with colleagues from NHS Suffolk and North East Essex ICB in an admission avoidance pilot using virtual ward admission pathways directly from care homes.
