I have developed a well‑rounded skill set through hands‑on roles in classroom support, SEN engagement, and multi‑sport coaching, allowing me to create motivating, safe, and accessible spaces where young people can grow both physically and personally.

My approach is rooted in patience, empathy, and positive communication. I take time to understand individual needs, adapt my teaching style to suit different learners, and build trusting relationships that encourage confidence and participation. Whether supporting pupils one‑to‑one, leading group activities, or assisting young people with additional needs, I am committed to helping every learner feel valued, capable, and supported.

Across my roles in Active Schools, Camp America, Fit for Girls, and personal assistant work, I have gained experience in behaviour support, safeguarding, session planning, and inclusive practice. These experiences have strengthened my passion for education and reinforced my goal of becoming a teacher who champions equality, wellbeing, and meaningful learning opportunities for all students.

COACHING

Delivered multi‑sport coaching sessions through Active Schools, including Rugby, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Boccia, Tennis, Hockey, Badminton. But I will always give any sport a try when coaching.

Affiliations

  • I enjoy baking and cooking, especially trying new recipes and sharing them with friends and family. Travelling is a big part of my life, and I love exploring new cultures, foods, and places. I stay active through regular workouts and long walks with the dogs, which also gives me time to unwind. I'm passionate about inclusive coaching and SEN support, and I volunteer regularly with youth programmes to help young people build confidence through sport. I also enjoy attending CPD workshops, safeguarding training, and first aid/emergency response courses to keep my skills current. Outside of sport, I'm interested in photography, reading personal development books, exploring nature, and learning new skills such as British Sign Language. I love being creative, whether that's through baking, journaling, or planning activities for young people.

Volunteering

Through my volunteering with Active Schools across Midlothian and Dundee, I've delivered a wide range of inclusive coaching sessions aimed at engaging children of all abilities. I've worked closely with pupils with disabilities, adapting activities to meet individual needs and ensure every child feels supported and involved. In Dundee, I was proud to contribute to the Powered by Her programme, helping to increase girls' participation in sport by creating fun, confidence-building environments that encouraged teamwork and physical activity. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to inclusive, accessible sport for all.
