• Worked in a busy, people-focused environment supporting children, parents and colleagues on a daily basis, building strong relationships through effective communication, patience and a professional approach. Regularly acted as a key point of contact for families, providing updates on children’s progress, discussing any concerns sensitively and working collaboratively to ensure children received the best possible support both within nursery and at home.

This role strengthened my confidence, teamwork, adaptability and ability to create positive experiences for both children and families in a welcoming and supportive environment.

• Completed my Modern Apprenticeship while balancing practical workplace responsibilities alongside ongoing academic study, developing strong time management, organisation and the ability to perform effectively within a busy, fast-paced environment. Managing daily responsibilities while completing coursework, assessments and professional development required commitment, self-motivation and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
• Throughout my apprenticeship, I developed a strong passion for learning, continuous improvement and progressing within my career. I am highly motivated to build on my skills and knowledge, take on new challenges and continue developing professionally in order to progress within future roles and provide the highest standard of service and support possible. I value opportunities for growth and enjoy learning from both hands-on experience and ongoing training.
• My apprenticeship strengthened my understanding of professionalism, responsibility and reflective practice. I regularly reflected on my performance, identified areas for improvement and applied feedback and new learning into practice to continually develop my skills and confidence. This helped me become more adaptable, proactive and confident within a professional working environment.
• I worked closely with colleagues, families and other professionals on a daily basis, building strong communication and teamwork skills while contributing to positive outcomes and experiences for children and families. Through this, I developed confidence in professional communication, relationship building and working collaboratively as part of a team, while also learning to work independently and use initiative when required.
• Alongside my studies, I regularly reviewed policies, procedures and best practice guidance to ensure my work remained professional, safe and up to date. This strengthened my attention to detail, accountability and understanding of the importance of maintaining high standards within the workplace.

Completing my Modern Apprenticeship reinforced key transferable skills including communication, organisation, adaptability, teamwork and professionalism. It also strengthened my ambition to continue progressing within my career, developing new skills and taking opportunities to grow within future roles and responsibilities.

• Worked within a busy, fast-paced hospitality environment delivering a high standard of customer service across the restaurant and function suites. Regularly supported large-scale events including weddings, celebrations and corporate functions, requiring strong communication, organisation and the ability to adapt quickly throughout shifts to ensure guests received a positive experience.
• Developed confidence communicating with a wide range of customers and learned the importance of being approachable, professional and attentive at all times. Regularly responded to customer requests and queries, resolved issues calmly and efficiently, and worked to ensure guests felt welcomed, valued and supported throughout their visit. This strengthened my interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds and age groups.
• Worked closely as part of a team to ensure smooth day-to-day service and successful delivery of events, supporting colleagues during busy periods and contributing to a positive and productive working environment. The role strengthened my teamwork, reliability and ability to remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly during high-demand services where multitasking and time management were essential.
• Gained experience working in a target-driven and customer-focused environment where presentation, professionalism and attention to detail were important. Learned the value of creating positive customer experiences, anticipating customer needs and maintaining high standards of service throughout all interactions.
